BioPharma Clinical Operations brings together all the skills groups to drive critical operational activities for early and late stage medicines development.


We have deep and specialist expertise in study and site management, data management, technical systems and processes, and in working with Contract Research Organisations and partner organisations to ensure the fast, efficient, ethical and quality delivery of our clinical trials in countries around the world.


We are nearly 2,500 people operating in more than 45 countries across the globe - partnering with the early and late therapeutic areas to meet the demands of extensive clinical trial programmes involving many thousands of patients.


Reporting to the Business Support Manager, the
Business Support Coordinator performs a wide range of support responsibilities for members of the BioPharma Clinical Operations function.


The
Business Support Coordinator is pro-active and collaborative, working together with the other co-ordinators in the function and also more broadly within BioPharmaceuticals R&D.


Your accountabilities:


  • Efficiently collaborate with senior leadership to maintain a streamlined organizational workflow, extending support to both clinical project teams and personal assistant tasks.
  • Responsible for information management to ensure projects teams are always inspection ready, in line with AZ policies.
  • Implement lean and agile ways of working to create an efficient partnership focused on Clinical Project Teams but not limited to.
  • Support additional ad hoc projects under general guidance ensuring delivery of project outputs according to plan, reviewing and refining plans as necessary.
  • Ability to independently followup on action items from meetings
  • Plan, organize, and schedule own workload, so that all activities are completed accurately and on time while using and developing best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with Global Colleagues to deliver a lean, consistent, and professional global support service, including knowledge sharing within the Business Support team.

Essential requirement for the role:


  • Experience in working in a cross functional global environment.
  • Significant administrative or related experience, demonstrating strong organizational and problemsolving skills.
  • Good communication and networking skills, effectively interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain project schedules.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • High level of professionalism and diplomacy when interfacing with organizations both within and beyond AstraZeneca.
  • Experience working in a fastpaced global environment.

Desirable experience for the role:


  • Information Management experience, ensuring data integrity and compliance with AZ's standards.
  • Background in Pharma or Healthcare.
  • Expertise in managing SharePoint sites to create and manage permission groups, create new sites, and add design elements.
  • Prior experience working with drug project teams, demonstrating an understanding of clinical trial processes.
