The Director, Sales & Business Effectiveness is responsible for working collaboratively with key stakeholders to provide the Distribution Leadership Team (Retail, Wealth, Mobile, Advice Centre, and Commercial) with the resources needed to deepen member relationships and grow the business. The role is a key contributor to sales planning and forecasting and is responsible for providing sales quality and oversight to execute the on the business and enterprise strategy. The Director, Sales & Business Effectiveness works with key partners to deliver programs and analyze and communicate business insights to recommend solutions that will improve annual operating plans and future business outcomes.   Additionally, the incumbent leads and oversees the team responsible for the design, delivery and maintenance of the learning and development programs for all distribution channels (including onboarding and sustainment for new advisors, ongoing technical job skills development, practice management programs, as well as relevant compliance, operational, and technical training for financial planning and sales execution) ensuring these initiatives meet the capability requirements of staff and are aligned with overall business strategy.   What you’ll get to do: Plan, prioritize, execute and manage the Commercial, Retail and Wealth Learning and Development strategy with the objective of increasing the effectiveness and success of employees and their leaders Develop a framework in partnership with the Retail Leadership Team for regular and consistent communications of sales results and enablement activities; linking key objectives and priorities to team communications, meetings and training initiatives. Develop and maintain a sales reporting framework including dashboards and leaderboards to identify opportunities for improvement and work with Distribution  Leadership Team to identify trends and focus coaching and execution efforts to leverage performance of their sales teams Oversee and develop a team of Program Managers and Enablement Coaches and Trainers to ensure that the highest level of training and support tools are delivered to staff to support business results Consult with primary stakeholders (Small Business Banking, Branch Banking, Wealth, Advice Centre, Mobile Banking, and Digital Solutions) and secondary stakeholders (Credit, Compliance, Retail Operations) to understand needs and provide training solutions to design, deliver and evaluate advisor training curricula in support of business deliverables. Partner with Marketing & Product Team to identify product training needs for new product launches (including campaign management and go-to-market process) and ongoing refresher courses including sales scripting Act as a key liaison for Marketing, Enterprise Analytics, Finance, HR and Corporate Learning to support the ongoing design, development, delivery and maintenance of learning solutions and sales enablement plans and programs. Lead cross-functional collaboration teams focused on developing sales enablement resources, plans and programs Lead the Effectiveness Team to support the development and implementation of Annual Operating Plans and Metrics. Assist with sales planning, regular business review meetings and forecasting Investigate and implement viable third-party content to support the needs of a diverse advisor network Formulate and manage a yearly budget with a focus on controlling overall costs and creating scale As required, personally facilitate training and create technical content Develop in partnership with Marketing team, as required, technical financial planning content (e.g. articles, blogs) that can be delivered through various external media opportunities (e.g. Newsletters, Linked In, Podcasts) Support the development of Advisor communications (write, review and comment)   Who are we looking for? Minimum of 10+ years' experience in the financial service industry, with a minimum of 2 years' sales leadership experience Intimate knowledge of the financial services industry and advisor practices Certified Financial Planner or equivalent (PFP / PFA) would be an asset as well as any other wealth management, investment, insurance, financial planning, tax and I or estate planning course or designation Working knowledge of advisor platform systems such as Dataphile, PlanPlus, CRM Completion of courses required for securities licensing through IIROC or MFDA Sound knowledge of and experience in adult educational program design, development and delivery Notable leadership and motivational skills Proven relationship and change management skills and a strong team player Excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and oral) Well-organized and able to work effectively to deadlines High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Resourceful, creative and adaptable to a changing business environment   Why join Coast Capital Savings?   Purpose is our North Star.We look at everything through our purpose.
