SIRENS
(2 SPUDS) (PRIME)

WIKI BLURB: Sirens is a two-part British televi-
sion crime drama, broadcast on ITV on 13 and 14
October 2002. The serial stars Daniela Nardini as
D.C. Jay Pearson, a detective within the serious
crime group, tasked with investigating a serial
rapist who is attacking lone young women in
and around Islington.

MY BLURB: Even though it's about 20 years old,
this 2 part series still has a lot of punch to it. It's
a pretty tangled mess of weird emotions at play
with the characters and though it gets a tad over
ther top at times, it's still pretty damn entertain-
ing to watch. And the best part was that | never
really figured it out beforehand. That, in and of
itself, made it worth watching.
The female lead Daniela Nardini, reminded me a
lot of Elizabeth Moss (Handmaid's Tale and Mad
Men), and she’s as good an actress.

Overall it felt like a much more gritty look at
the London police force than you usually see.
It's pretty gripping stuff, if you like serial bad
guy TV series, of which there is no shortage
these days.
