THE NEW LEPER COLONY
Traveling around social media I'm starting to see a different sentiment regarding those who remain un-vaccinated against Covid. This sentiment can be expressed be best summed up in two words. Fuck'em.
Now that the vaccine has been approved by the almighty Food and Drug Administration, people have no real leg to stand on to argue their refusal. But, and there's always a but, these people are not what you would call very astute when it comes to seeing the painfully obvious. And so the Plague rages on. Sadly, the plague seems to hit the un-vaccinated to a much greater degree than it does to those who got their shots. And even with this highly tangible evidence they make their stupid, poorly written signs and take them to places where they will be photographed, stand around without masks and put their willful ignorance on full display for the whole world to see.
They are indeed the New Lepers in our society. Perhaps we should treat them more like that and ship them off to an island somewhere, where they can march around and spout their unfounded nonsense for each other.

“Do you think we are in a crisis?” · The answer came through the lens of a man who was born into the depression, knew what it was like not to have food on the table, survived polio, knew the impact of rationing on the home front, and from someone who had earned his wings as a par ...
