2 SPUDS on Disney

This is a ten-episode limited series, that stars John
Slattery, from Mad Men, in one of the best
character roles I have seen in a while. He plays a
computer genius who invented an Al program
that actually teaches itself and grows exponen-
tially more powerful and uncontrollable

Not only does this idea scare the hell out of
you, the writing and Mr Slattery’s mad genius
truthtelling create a real sense of urgency.

A lot of nerds who know more about Al than
1 do will undoubtedly be taking this thing apart
and pointing out all the logic flaws and misno-
mers. Bl;ah blah blah. But at its core it's a tremen-
dously exciting chase movie. And it's the ghost in
the machine that's being chased

This was originally made as a self-contained
series, but it's built up a powerful following and
there are rumours flying around that there will
be a second season. Maybe. Fine with me if it
happens. The scarier the better

And let's face it, there's not a lot of TV these
days that really makes you, you know, think
