See this lady? She's known as AOC. And she is one of the sharpest thorns in the side of the Republican Party. This is because they can't buy her because she's not for sale and they can't hurt her because she's smarter than all of them. Here she is in a dress she wore to a charity gala of some sort. It makes a powerful point, which I believe was the whole purpose of it. And images of her in this dress have gone uber-viral, so there are very few people who have not gotten her message. It's also pretty much a slap in the face to the former first lady, what's her name, (I've actually forgotten). But that's just the icing. The cake is the point she is making and the sheer chutzpah she has about making it. This woman is a real hero in my book. She's fighting hard for her country, when so many right wing clowns are fighting against it.

The Sunday Morning Sermon: On Faith

There was a time, a long time ago when Sunday mornings would find me in the church of Our Lady Of Victory, usually decked out in a black smock and holding a little tray beneath the mouths of the faithful receiving the Holy Eucharist in the form of a little white tablet of unleave ...

SCAN DE JOUR

This little lady would now be in her late 40s or early 50s by now. She is one of the residents of Little Tancook Island, where our friend Cath Paget took us when we went down to Nova Scotia to visit her. Nova Scotia is a magical place. The light reflecting off the ocean makes all ...

Scan de Jour: 12/19/21

This little lady was someone I met at a craft show at city hall. She saw I had a camera and asked me if I would take her picture. Her mom was right behind her. She just smiled and nodded, so I shot the pic. She seemed really happy about it. I gave the mom my email address, but ne ...
