What do you eat for breakfast? They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but many people skip breakfast or eat on the run. What's your breakfast habit?

My go-to breakfast is oatmeal mixed with peanut butter and a banana.

Oatmeal with banana, nuts and berries is a great way to start the day!

To break my overnight fast, René, my prep-for-the-day food choice varies slighty with the season. We are currently in winter, here in Oz, and so oatmeal made with milk and a thinly sliced banana is my base, to which I add sliced pear, raisins or sultanas, as available. Outside winter my choice is a smoothy with a base of banana, baby spinach and full cream milk, to which I may add pear and/or grapes and/or strawberries as available. I occasionally  add kiwi fruit or melon, although the taste of both these last two can be overwhelming. On occasional weekend days, winter or summer, I’ll also have two boiled eggs and share the tops (less any yolk) with Spotty. As she also loves the toasted top crust of wholemeal or multigrain bread I’ll often also have the balance of her slice of toast with butter and sometimes peanut butter. Hot water, or weak ginger tea with honey, is my early morning starter drink. I ration my intake of ‘flat white’ espresso coffee to one cup per day and have this usually in the afternoon. Incidentally, Renée, my wife’s a cereal killer and, to complement my humour, prefers pun-cakes. 😂🤣😂

My go-to breakfast is scrambled eggs on toast with salmon.

My go-to breakfast is whole grain cheerios with 2% milk, topped with blueberries - no sweeteners except for the berries. When my hubby makes breakfast, it's eggs, sausage, and rye toast. I eat the eggs and toast and skip the sausage. Javier's breakfast looks yummy!

For me, a cornetto (what the French refer to as a croissant) with a cup of cappuccino or some other coffee is the way to go. For other days, I settle with fruit and coffee though since too many cornetti make themselves apparent on the waist and I respect their privacy 🙂
