See this guy.? He’s the French President, and he’s really pissed right about now, because the US, England and Australia have made some kind of deal that gets Australia a couple of nuclear subs so that they can better defend their waters. The French guy is pissed because he had a deal to build submarines with Australia and now it’s gonna be somebody else. It’s always about money, isn’t it? The US didn’t want France in on the deal because they would make less money if they had to share. Now France is doing all kinds of hissy fit type things to communicate to the US just how pissed they are. Maybe the US should just start increasing the amount of French wine that’s allowed in the country, and everybody can get drunk and talk about it. Most politicians remind me of my kid when he was about two years old.

When is a Friend with Benefits Better Than a Devoted Spouse?

The serendipity moments of life

As part of my daily routine I walk about 6 to 7 km a day and when I was in Australia I did this every day. My daughter lives in a small community of about 100 people in the Alpine region of Victoria State. My daily routine was that I would walk from her place to a general store i ...

Reflections on loss

I reflected on the loss of a young life,  this past weekend, as the celebration of the life of Daniel who died over the holiday at my house, was happening in Australia. I remember the young man's mother, Sally, who lost her son on Christmas day. I saw Sally's  pain when she came ...

Travelling

I heard on the radio the other day that the price of airline tickets and travel would increase as the price of fuel went up. The theory is that people would decrease their travel because of rising cost. I am not sure where we are going with air travel but I suspect it will not de ...
