A Question (and an Answer)

IS REPUBLICAN STILL AMERICAN? Every Ameran | have ever met is proud to call their country the world's greatest democracy. | would imagine that's a sentiment shared by almost all Americans But ff that’s true. | simply don't understand how anyone who believes in democracy can tolerate what the US Republican party has become It doesn't seem to be anythng like a party that supports democracy It feels more like a tool supporting brg business with huge tax cuts and handouts It doesn't seem to care at all about the everyday Americans who voted them into office and fully expected them to be their voke in government No. the Republican party really has taken on a new role mn the country It's obsessed with obstructing everything the Democratk government wants to do to help the country move forward In essence. it seems to want to throw the country nto reverse by putting all the power n the hands of the rch and the corporations. and taking away a great many of the things that most everyday Americans think of as part of what government should be providing Like unemployment benefits. affordable health care and child care. a good education system. a fair and equitable tax structure you know. all the stuff that most real democracies have In November. you have an outstanding chance to keep your country out of the hands of the Republicans for two more years. by electing a clear majonty in the house and senate And this 1s what needs to happen for America to be the great democracy most of you believe it to be Plowing Through The Shrtscorm With You
