Some Thoughts On The Future

It’s Called The Fossil Fuel Industry
For A Good Reason

There is a war going on in the world today that
involves no conventional weapons.

It is a war on progress. It is a war being waged by a
fossil fuel industry, that has always managed to buy
whatever influence they needed to stay dominant.

These industries have been directly or indirectly re-
sponsible for the slow and steady rise of carbon in our
atmosphere, which is one of the main causes of global
warming and climate change.

But now with the rise of renewable technologies
these fossil fuel industries, which could have just as
easily started developing their own renewable technol-
ogies, chose instead to fight against the tide of the new.

So instead of spending millions on research and
the development of ideas to help the world, they sink
their money into buying infuence to keep the laws that
would work against their interests from being enacted.

And the slow and steady poisoning of our
atmosphere continues, virtually unabated.

Governments everywhere need to wake
the fuck up, and understand that all
the money in the world will not save
their sorry asses if the air
we all breathe is poison.

Can you envision the "potential"?

In Memory of My Friend: He Left Nothing.

This isn’t a eulogy or a fond farewell. To me, it’s a type of Christmas Carol, without the usual ghosts, since my friend didn’t believe in ghosts. If they ever appeared, I’m sure he would have gone to his computer, wondering if he’d ordered Apparitions Past, Present and Future. · ...
