Being pragmatic works, but who wants to work?

Every now and then, my thoughts drift to the magic in the world. I feel a loss when pragmatism wins over the mystical. There is a greater force at work when you engage with magic. I believe that strength and optimism combined with hard work will keep your principles and other learned strategies working well for your success. However, I found that as I moved away from working hard and focused more and more on my gifts, passion & purpose magic began happening in my life.  

As I age, I believe I am being pushed deeper into a relationship with the mystical, the metaphysical, the spiritual - so many words to describe the same thing - and I find myself practising a new way of being in this world. It is much simpler, much more organic, much more peaceful, and in many respects, very easy. Well, easier when I get out of my own way.

There have been times when I've been in a complete and utter panic over what was not materialising. I've come close to reverting to old patterns; headaches would show up with resistance from my mind, body, and spirit. Within 24-48 hours, I'd back away from my old patterns, unable to give in and give up the new dream. I'd trust and just as suddenly, I would be on track again and the magic of life would make itself known.As I grow older I see these patterns, these ups & downs, as part of my learning and the energy I am receiving from those positive souls around me make the magic real. 

My goal this year is to deepen my relationship with life, to trust my calling, passion and purpose. To express more fully who I am and thereby be a much better guide and teacher. Magic lives everywhere. Being pragmatic works, but who wants to work?
