Can Being Silly Have Purpose? Sure, Why Not?

I've noticed something strange. At least, I think I did. So, I'm testing it before bringing to beBee's attention. I don't want to bring it to their attention before I'm sure. You see, these guys actually act when someone points out an issue. 

Go figure.

Don't they know that social media platforms are supposed to ignore their users? All the other ones do.

It is now 18:21 GMT-4 on April 11th. I will not hit the publish button until 21:21 GMT-4. Why 21:21? Because it's far enough from now to test my theory. 

Also, because I like the alliteration.

Does alliteration apply to numbers? I don't really know. Whatever. It does now. I will only hit publish at 21:21.

If my hunch is correct, the moment I hit the Publish button this post will show as being 3 hours old. Why does that matter you might ask.

Posts seem to be listed by age. This post, I think, will be buried somewhere far down on the feed. Or maybe not. I've been wrong before. Just ask my wife or my ex-wife. They'll tell you . 

One of them will tell you in excruciating detail.

I digress.

I must be boring you. I'm boring myself. I don't think I will continue writing for the next three hours. 

It would be cruel. It would be cruel to us both.

I did warn you that this was just a test. The primary purpose of this post is to test if a bug exists. While I'm at it I might as well delve into something else too. How do posts go viral?

With my bad luck, this silly post will go viral.

I'll be remembered forever as the guy who wrote that post about nothing that got 7 Billion views, 873,234,972 "relevants," and 549,652,824 comments (And replied to them all. It's the polite thing to do.)

I hope not, though.

But, you never know. The general concept worked well for Seinfeld. 

I'm no Seinfeld, so I better hedge my bets.

But how?

I know, I'll add a funny cat video, just in case. I haven't added a video to a post yet. Hummmm, how tough can it be?.

I think humanity is doomed. 

But fear not. We all know a boat builder in Florida. We're safe until Phil Friedman starts building a really big-assed boat that has barns on it.

We were just discussing middle names. I hope his is "Noah."

Okay, now I'm really bored with myself. When I get bored, my mind turns to lofty thoughts. Uplifting thoughts.

Mind-blowing thoughts.

Right now, I am contemplating this thorny question:

Can I delete posts after they're published?

I sure hope so

I may as well test a 600X400 header image while I'm at it. I don't know how the image will show on the Publisher feed, but it doesn't look great on my laptop. There's too much white space on the right side. 

An image 930X620 pixels is the way to go. If beBee automatically centers the image in the document window, then 600X400 becomes a viable option. That's better for beBee. Storage requirements would drop big time.

If I get lazy, I guess I could do a 600X400 Twitter image and scale it up to 930X620 for beBee. That is if they decide not to just center it and be done. I don't mind either way, Guys.

You may have noticed that I also ramble when I'm bored.

Now I'm wondering which three hives I will inflict this post on. There's nobody I don't like here.

I should probably just send it to Ghosts (the Writing Kind) I know I can delete it from there. It's one of the hives I manage.

Still Rambling

I still have an hour to wait and there's nothing good on TV, the PVR is full of my wife's favorites, and I'm not in the mood for NetFlix. 

Bored.

I guess I could watch some of her shows. I'm just afraid if I watch too much Grey's Anatomy I'll start lactating. 

Is that sexist? Maybe. Who cares? Nobody's going to read this far down on this post anyway.

Even Trent Selbrede won't bother. 

But what if they do?

What if this post really does go viral? Would that be such a bad thing? 

Maybe I should add a bikini picture? It's worked for others. No. Somebody may get offended.Besides, bikinis don't fit my personal brand. 

No. No bikini shot.

 That's in  keeping  with  my personal brand.  It's completely  appropriate.

 Yes, I'll do that.

Maybe this post does have a shot of going  viral.

Dang it! I forgot about the vegans.

This post can't  go  viral if they are opposing it! I have to make it vegan-proof. I need something without gluten either.

One of these days I'm going to hunt down whoever "they" are and tell them to shut the hell up.

Phew! That was close. Now all the bases are covered. This silly post is sure to go viral. (not!)

I sure hope the Vegans don't mind that the pineapple is cut up.

Is that considered fruiticide?
