Four Things I Do On LinkedIn To Support BeBee. I Encourage You To Do The Same.

Four Things I Do On LinkedIn To Support BeBee. I Encourage You To Do The Same.

Four Things I Do On LinkedIn To Support BeBee. I Encourage You To Do The Same.to provoke thought and revive the comatose
Anyone who has been blogging on LinkedIn for any length of time has undoubtedly noticed a serious throttling back of notifications and page views.
This has taken my numbers on LinkedIn from the mid triple digits to the low double digits. So I moved to beBee. And what do you know…I’m now in the low 4 digits. A little honesty goes a long way.
Anyway…here are some of the things I do to support beBee on LinkedIn. I guess you could call this sabotage. But only if you believe that LinkedIn actually gives a rat’s ass.
1.
I write all my posts in the beBee publisher and send them to my LinkedIn home page from there. I also sent them to Twitter, Google+ and Facebook.
2. When I create posts on LI Pulse, I post a link to my beBee post instead of all the content of that post. This is easy to do, simply by pasting the link to your beBee post in the text area of the Pulse post, then hitting return to display the link.
3.
When I accept a new link from anyone, I immediately send them a note to tell them that I have moved my primary blogging to beBee, post a link to my publisher page and encourage them to follow me there.
4. I also regularly post a version of this same message on my LI home page and encourage people to check out beBee and follow me there.
Here’s the text of my note…feel free to adapt it.

Thanks for the link request. FYI, I have recently moved my blogging tent to a new site called www.beBee.com, where active participation is approximately 10 to 20 times higher than LinkedIn. You can still read most of my stuff on LinkedIn, but all my longer format posts going forward will be linked to my beBee posts. To cut out the middle man, I encourage everyone to check out beBee, or follow me there by bookmarking this link. https://www.bebee.com/publisher/@jim-murray
These are easy things to do, and frankly after the way LInkedIn has treated their independent writers and group owners for the past year or so, it’s nothing that they don’t deserve.
My experience on beBee has been very positive, pretty much the opposite of my experience on LinkedIn. I will still maintain my LinkedIn account until they kick me off.
But beBee is my new home and I am happy to be here.

Some good ideas here, Jim Murray. Glad I followed your advice, saw the light and moved to beBee from the dark side. 😄

I'm happy for everybody who show up here, @Rebel Brown. Especially the ones who know what's going on over in the Lumpy Kingdom. Thanks for reading and commenting so positively.

Thanks Cory Galbraith Actually that's really just a recruiting tool for beBee. Of course it's kinda usless if nobody gets to see it which I suspect is the case. But it only takes a minute or so to put together, so what the hell.

Chas Wyatt....I agree with you. At a certain point you find that you just don't have anything to do with it anymore. Because there is no reason.

Cory....I noticed that. You should do what I do and just create a pulse post and post your beBee post link in it. Nobody at LI is paying attention anymore and it will be good for at least another 5 views. LOL.

Jan Johnston Osburn = it is not your imagination. My conclusion from observation during the time since the initiation of LI's Influencer program is that many, indeed most of them appear to employ content-producing ghost writers of only mediocre ability, which inevitably results in this digital publishing age in what I call "soft" plagiarism. And because the Influencer posts were pumped by much greater initial expsure than those of indie writers, the results self-confirming.

You ARE a crack Jim Murray!!! I don't write posts on LI assiduously but I receive quite a few contact requests every day and I always send a thank you note, so I take note precisely of your advice. Thanks for the ideas!!
