Have you ever noticed, people need meaning in their lives?

Have you ever noticed that some people are happiest when they have something to be unhappy about? I sometimes wonder why that is, but I have no idea what would make a person happy because they are unhappy. Humans I find need to be searching for meaning in their lives and those who have no meaning begin to take a negative view of the world.

We find meaning in many things, relationships, owning property, having goals, achieving goals, our likes and dislikes. However, there are many who find meaning in their lives by being envious and jealous of those who have more or who are happier. These people who are unhappy sometimes gloat in their unhappiness, and their negative view of the world. They make fun of those who have a positive view and work hard to bring others down to their level. Maybe it is about control, some feel the need to control others because they are themselves feel out of control in their own lives. I think it is about fear, those who have a negative attitude, I think are fearful of life, and of people who are positive.

Have you noticed that unhappy people tend to have other unhappy or dissatisfied people in their circle of friends and acquaintances? Or that happy people tend to have people who are happy satisfied people in their circle of friends and acquaintances.

Some believe that we should take steps to help those who are dissatisfied or unhappy find a way to better their lives. I say, let them be “happy”. Maybe one day they may realize that their definition of happiness is flawed and they will move away from the negative view toward a more positive of life.
