I sometimes get close to losing my temper
When people are too loud talking about when they were the "life of the party"? I imagine what their life was like and then they ask me what I am laughing about.
When I hear those darn kids at the bus stop who need to turn it down a notch, so I turn off my hearing aid and it is very quiet..
When I see someone order the same shoe in different colours: I remember that when I find shoes as comfy as a cloud, why not buy them in every colour? It's not a panic buy; it's a practical fashion strategy!
When I go somewhere and there is nowhere to sit, I am too old for wall-leaning or standing at the bar. I am better off on my cozy couch at home if there's no seat so I usually leave. My back says thank you!
when the Amazon deliveries I was expecting are late; it is not the thrill of new clothes; I am overjoyed by the arrival of that practical kitchen gadget or comfy shoes that won't leave your feet sore.
When I remember that for me late nights now start at 11 pm, and even that's pushing it. Since I became older I realized that no one needs late nights when you've got the luxury of pyjamas and a cozy bed.
When my friends talk about thinking ahead for cutting costs at Christmas: Then I remember recycling, regifting and buying discounted decorations is a savvy way to celebrate the holidays without breaking the bank.
When I see a woman with a handbag full of tissues and wet wipes, I remember that a purse full of tissues and wipes isn't just practical; it's a survival kit for any unexpected mess or allergy attack.
When my cords for my glasses get tangled, I then realize they are a good idea: embracing glass cords is a testament to wisdom. No more searching for misplaced glasses!
When people ask me what I want as a gift and the gifts that spring to my mind are household items: Forget luxury gifts; I am thrilled to receive a power mop or extra-strength cleaning products. It's all about practicality.
When I see my camera roll is full of blurred photos and then I am reminded that those blurred pics, accidental thumb selfies are my gallery roll of my tech-savvy adventures.
When people make fun of the fact that I have a tin of cookies ready for cocktails for brunch. No, it's all about cookies now. They're my new comfort food, and they're ready for any occasion.
When I start to get annoyed at impersonal text messages, I believe that handwritten cards or heartfelt audio messages beat generic texts any day, but I am thankful that someone took the time to think of me and send me a message.

I also have doctors/hospital appointments but because of health issues we no longer travel so no more sitting in waiting rooms and departure lounges. I do miss that
