Life In A Lower Gear

Life In A Lower Gear

ryEvery morning I take the short ride down to the lake just to look at the water and the sky and the trees.
I hardly ever did this in Toronto. I think it was because it was too much of a hassle.
But here I don't encounter any cars, stop lights, or any real noise to speak of, just the odd dog walker here and there.
This is one of the most peaceful places I have found and it's literally two minutes from my house.
Up until we moved here, my life had been lived at a very high vibrating frequency. The need to be 'on' all the time was one of the exciting and exhausting things about living in a big city. But here, things are different.
There is a tranquillity here that I am still in the process of adjusting to. It's very easy here to find beautiful, calming things to look at. There is less static in the ether surrounding me. It is much easier for me to feel calm and comfortable, and slowly but surely, it's opening up my mind to a lot of possibilities I have simply never, up to now, have had the time to pursue.
I will pursue them.
But the beautiful thing is that I am no longer in a screaming rush to do it.
This is a good thing, and something I highly recommend for anyone who is starting to feel that they would benefit from a slower vibrating frequency.
I was worried that the slower pace of life here would be something I would have trouble adjusting to. But that has not been the case.
Life rolls on, but for me, it's rolling in a lower gear. I will still get to the end of it. But I am now enjoying the ride a hell of a lot more.

Same thing in Dover, @Jim Murray. Silver Lake Park has all kinds of benches, each with their own view and philosophy.

Beautiful pictures and looks like the move is suiting the lower gear. Life in a lower gear does offer better views and thoughts. Thanks for the pictures.
