Moving on from the Kindle to my Office Bookshelf
Yesterday, I posted the list of the Kindle books I have read in the last year. It wasn't a comprehensive list of the books I read, but certainly generated a lot of great discussion, which books are apt to do.
I thought I'd post a photo of ONE of the shelves on the bookcase in my work office. This doesn't count my home office, my bedroom, the living room, or any of the dozens of electronic books that pass through.
It occurs to me that I might have a problem... (not enough time to read).
I've included the link to Amazon should you want to explore any of them further. You will notice that most of them are business and leadership based. This is my work office after all.
From left to right they are:
What Directors Need to Know - Corporate Governance - Carol Hansell
Getting to Yes - Fisher, Ury and Patton
The Ten Day MBA - Steven Silbiger
Death by Meeting - Patrick Lencioni
The Four Obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive - Patrick Lencioni
The Five Temptations of a CEO - Patrick Lencioni
Silos, Politics, and Turf Wars - Patrick Lencioni
Getting Naked - Patrick Lencioni
The Five Dysfunctions of a Team - Patrick Lencioni (This is THE book of Patrick's to start with)
The Three Signs of a Miserable Job - Patrick Lencioni
The Advantage - Patrick Lencioni
Drive - Daniel H. Pink
Extreme Management - What they teach at Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program - Mark Stevens
How Full is Your Bucket? - Tom Rath and Donald O. Clifton
Strengths Based Leadership - Tom Rath and Barry Conchie
The Imperfect Board Member - Jim Brown
Built to Last - Jim Collins and Jerry Poras
Good to Great (2 copies) - Jim Collins
First, Break All the Rules - Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman
First Among Equals - Patrick J. McKenna and David H. Maister
Stand Back and Deliver - Pixton, Nickolaisen, Little, McDonald
The Entrepreneurial Journey - Norm Trainor
The Myth of Multitasking - Dave Crenshaw
Outliers - The Story of Success - Malcolm Gladwell
The Tipping Point - Malcolm Gladwell
What the Dog Saw - Malcolm Gladwell
David and Goliath - Malcolm Gladwell (Lent Out)
The Ultimate Question - Fred Reichheld
Leading Geeks - Paul Glen
Business at the Speed of Thought - Bill Gates (Lent Out)
The Essential Drucker - Peter Drucker

Flight of the Buffalo - James A. Belasco and Ralph C. Stayer
The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing - Al Ries and Jack Trout
Depending on the response to this post, I may move on to other shelves, or the books I bought more than a year ago that remain on my Kindle.
