New York is a Winter Wonderland
I loved this share from Javier 馃悵 beBee but the only thing with it is that I don't want to share it to my followers, especially since my participation is predicated in wonder, in learning, in discovery and in exploration.聽 I found the the picture fascinating and I write this buzz for the simple reason that I want this picture in my Yellow Hive.聽

In the cynical world the aerial view of any city, especially at night is compared to a silicon chip board.聽 That is how a city is portrayed in the insightful film Koyaanisqatsi, though some have just as insightful commentary about it and Kyle Kallgren yields his own interesting perspective of this movie - but for my educational journey, it is the relationship between the city and the silicon chip which the picture shared by Javier of New York disrupts.

I love the raw earthiness of New York and love visiting that city. The ironic part of my life is that my wife grew up in San Jose, California but on visiting I did not feel connected to it. San Fransisco is an interesting city but it is a place for people who live on the edges and so I would also feel like a stranger there. My wife did not want to settle in New York. That is fine that was her decision and I can live with that, but she was OK with going to live next to Toronto and the irony there is that I consider Toronto to be a "Baby New York". It will never scale to the business or social scale of New York, but I can well understand why the movie industry is always keen to shoot New York scenes in Toronto. I am a fan of the Suits series but since I know Toronto landmarks, it is tough convincing me that the series is meant to be a New York law firm :-)
