One Of My Simplest & Most Effective beBee Recruitment Tools.

Murray + Creative Director
Onwords & Upwords Inc. &
beBee Brand Ambassador
I am a communications professional,
arily a strategist & writer. I work with
small to mid sized businesses, designers,

art/creative directors & consultants to
ate results driven, strategically focused
mmunications in all on & offline media.

Iam also a communications mentor,
lyricist & prolific op/ed beBee blogger.
: 416 463-3475 + Bmail: onandup3@gmail com » Skype: jimbobmur6lThe blogging, regular posting and commenting I still do for a limited amount of time each day on LinkedIn manages to produce at least half a dozen Link requests every couple of days.
I’m sure it’s the same for many of you.
So when I decided to move my dog and pony show over to BeBee I was left with a conundrum…what to do with all those requests.
Being a writer, my first instinct was to solve this dilemma with writing. So that’s what I did.
I created a very diplomatically worded form letter that I message to everyone who wants to join my LI network. I send it to them immediately after I accept their invitation.
It goes something like this.

Thanks for the Link Request

Hello ________________

FYI: I’m a Bee Now:

Since LinkedIn Pulse virtually no longer exists and my ability to build a following here has been greatly diminished, I have moved my blogging tent to beBee.com.
I visit LinkedIn regularly but don't post much on Pulse since there's very little point.
But don’t despair. You can see all my posts going forward on beBee by bookmarking this link. https://www.bebee.com/publisher/@jim-murray
Or you can join beBee.com and follow me there: https://www.bebee.com/@jim-murray
I will be happy to return the favour, follow you and introduce you to the community.
beBee has been a pretty amazing experience for me so far. And a number of the people I was close to on LinkedIn, who have also moved to beBee, echo my sentiments.
Cheers, and thanks again for the link request.

Jim

The number of people who write back and tell me they are going to join beBee far outstrips the number who don’t. And in my business, that’s how you tell if a marketing tactic is working or not.
Please feel free to adapt this tactic and use it with my blessing. Let’s build a great community here and keep this site buzzing.

A most excellent reply Jim... It would certainly separate those who wish a genuine connection from those who follow up with a sales pitch moments after you accept their connection request on LI.
