The Culture Of Lies & Those Who Believe Them

But lately, these numbers have grown substantially, and the people being duped by these charlatans, mostly political, is now a valid subculture 
of our society.

These are people who look like you and me, have jobs and families, probably even go to church on Sunday and do a lot of other normal stuff.

But what goes on in the space between their ears is anything but normal. This space is filled with lies and hate for anyone who is not like them. And a fundamental disbelief of anything that does not align with their own deluded world view.

This stuff has been carefully planted in their brains by the relentless cascade of lies they have been fed, and now they can no longer be considered anywhere close to in touch with reality.

The long term effects of this can be seen most clearly in the way the so called free world is messing up the handling of the Covid 19 epidemic. Lies, coupled with the complete ignorance of those being lied to, have made doing the right thing to help contain this virus something that people can choose to object to.

It has been turned into a political football, instead of being treated as what it is which is a public health crisis.

Where we see the most evidence of this is in areas that are controlled by Conservative governments which have managed to basically ignore any attempt to bring people into line with regard to the relatively simple rules for giving themselves the best chance at avoiding this virus.

These Conservatives refuse to put public safety over all other issues with regards to this epidemic, and as a result, cases and deaths keep growing.

And this is happening all over the place, so I’m not going to pick on the United States, although their numbers are extraordinarily high. But it seems like Conservative mismanagement and this epidemic go hand in hand.

What do we do with all these out of touch with reality people?

I have no idea. I do know that their numbers are in the tens of millions, and that like the lemmings they have sadly become, many of them would be willing to die for the upside down beliefs that have been so carefully and effectively planted in their brains.

IMHO The best we can hope for is that if those of us who are not afflicted can find ways to peacefully co-exist with those who are. It’s not like you can hold some sort of intervention, as you would do with someone you know who has been indoctrinated into a lesser cult.

The other thing we can do is start insisting that the education system in our own country is one that stresses the positive human values that many of the believers have sacrificed when they allowed these lies to take over their minds.

In the meantime life goes on and as I said in a small post earlier today…there is no reason to believe that the Covidiots will change anytime soon…so the rest of us have to just be extra careful.
