The Time to start is now

I was showing the black and white photo (above) of myself when I was younger to my grandson, and he asked me if I had lived in the olden days. He was learning about Ned Kelly in school and they were showing black and white pictures of the times. So, in his mind, black and white pictures were from the olden days. To a child's mind, everything is possible and thus the question. I started to think about when I was young and poised on the great adventure of life. Everything was possible, or so I believed. Do you remember long, long ago, when you were considering living the "My Potential Adventures," among an infinite array of other choices, how you suddenly thought to yourself, "How much trouble could I get into, anyway?"  This was a time when trouble actually meant adventure and excitement, not toil and strife.

Do you remember your reply? 

I remember mine, I said it would depend on a good number of factors, not the least of which would include climate change, geological pressures, celestial energy vortices, the star I was born under, political friction on the street, worthiness, luck, fate, and finally my mood. Do you remember your answer?

At which point, I burst out laughing so hard I almost needed stitches.  So, being young, I set out on my journey and it still continues to this day. Every day is exciting and full of adventures and opportunity, some of which I choose to accept, others I let slide by to the next person.
