Why I've Started the Executive Team Building Network Hive (strictly for executives)

This hive is the beBee version of the original group launched on LinkedIn on May 30, 2009. The group advocates a return to a bottom line, business oriented team building approach. Team building can be fun and STILL produce bottom line results. This group aims to play a pivotol role in reversing the disturbing trend in which the term "team building" has been increasingly hijacked by purveyors of recreational activities & social events. Since our original launch, we have seen everything from axe throwing to highly risky mud obstacle races marketed under the team building banner.
We've created this space for peer-to-peer interaction between executives to explore corporate team building from an executive & senior management perspective. We'll explore bottom line oriented team building approaches. We aim to have fruitful discussions and share best practices, blogs, & articles.
We also save you time with profiles of foreign destinations appropriate for executive retreats and sales incentive trips.
The original LinkedIn group has grown to 790 members. Unfortunately, since LinkedIn reduced notifications and our announcements have not been going out, engagement has been a challenge. Members have on way of knowing what is going on. At beBeem "bees" (members) receive regular notifications so it should be easier to foster interaction.
Earlier this week I posted a new blog post called Personal Reflections of a LinkedIn Group Owner and Manager.
It has already had over 1.8K views. You have to struggle to get even 100 viewers organically on LinkedIn and Facebook and re-tweets on Twitter are WAY down.
So I am sold on beBee. Now in addition to the Executive Team Building Network on LinkedIn, our hive is ready to buzz.
Executive Team Buiding Network is a place where executives can:
- post questions
- share blog posts, articles, and helpful videos about team building, corporate culture, and leadership
- share best practices for effective team building as well as pitfalls to avoid
- Executive Team Building Network (LinkedIn)
