Year of the Pig
February 5th is the date of the Lunar New Year or better known as the Chinese New Year. While the Christian calendar is based on a solar year, the Chinese New Year is 11 days shorter than the solar year because of the lunar association. In 2020 the Chinese New Year is on 25th January and the 2021 Chinese New Year falls on February 12th.
The South China Morning Post took delight in contemplating whether Donald Trump will be impeached in the Year of the Pig. This is not just coincidental speculation for the article stresses Trump's Chinese birth year as the Year of the Dog.
Making the article about Feng Shui does not hide the visible disdain for the President that is evident in the words used such as
"Dogs like the president will have a steadier year, according to celebrity Hong Kong feng shui master Peter So Man-fung."
If we were to question the writer of the article Ng Kang-chung what the wording "Dog" represents, he will clearly retort that he was referencing the Year of the Dog. When we add in the depiction in the New York Magazine of a Trump photograph with a pig nose http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2018/04/trump-and-co-are-stealing-america-blind-timeline.html it is not a stretch to suggest the double meaning that can be inferred.
The reality is that the Year of the Pig is best not associated with Trump in any form whatsoever because there is enough conversations generated about Trump that can fill a complete lifetime and still there is writings, art and video that will go unread and unseen.

The rise of Chinese Billionaires is way more interesting than speculation if another President of the United States will be impeached. When we factor in the rise of the 1% and now throw in the growth and escalation of Chinese global power and the traditional power brokers, the phrase "Capitalist Pig" is more appropriate.

I am the "New World" you are the "New World". Every baby that is born with the privileges bestowed upon us is a part of the "New World", that is until the education and traditional work system shapes them for an "Old World". We will always incur disruptions in search of "New Worlds" as an ideology. Yet the "New World" both of us represent is the world we live in that is called our respective homes. If that world which is our home, work and play space is not a "New World" then we either have that, or an outside force defining their ideology or program - and the moment we buy into that, we trust in an ideology rather than the world that we are changing under our own feet. If the light is emerging from us then every light turned on will eventually meet as a highly personal meaning of "NEW", where new is a contribution to each new waking day. The other new is a traditional relationship with old - in with the new and out with the old, that traditional mindset is what we practice with our current bias for youth and the resulting tragedy that is ageism - if the new is replacing the old, then we all get replaced because unless we experience the tragedy of dying young, we all grow old. Yet in a world that is truly a NEW WORLD - the new is no different to the Sun rising - our life is constantly rising and setting and that is a "New World" absolutely worth living in - as in Eric Fromm's idea of "being" rather than "having".
