YMCA Camp Pine Crest, nestled in Muskoka wilderness, offers enriching programs dedicated to the YMCA's mission and vision

Be part of the Camp Wellness Staff, responsible for maintaining the physical and mental well-being of the Pine Crest community

Engage in daily tasks such as health assessments, first aid care, and promoting overall wellness for staff and campers

In this role, you will:

Support campers and staff to ensure a positive camp experience through regular check-ins
Manage the camp's wellness programs, including maintaining medical supplies and organizing medications
Respond to first aid situations promptly and effectively, communicating with necessary parties
Provide leadership and training on health and wellness to staff, emphasizing both physical and mental well-being
Administer camper medications based on health forms
Support the camp's out-tripping program by overseeing first aid kits and assisting counsellors
Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks related to wellness programs
Build strong relationships with members, staff, and community partners
Attend and actively participate in all staff trainings and meetings
Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures and guidelines
Exemplify YMCA values, guiding principles, and policies as a positive role model
Perform any additional assigned duties

What you need to succeed:

Alignment with YMCA's Mission, Vision, and Values
Focus on promoting health, safety, and wellbeing of all individuals in YMCA programs
Display essential YMCA Competencies: Accountability, Relationship Building, Continuous Improvement, Team Leadership, Equity Promotion, Wellbeing Advocacy

You bring:

G Class license, minimum age 21 for insurance requirements
Current enrollment in postsecondary studies in Nursing, Child and Youth Studies, or Social Work
Mental Health First Aid Certification
