Be part of the Camp Wellness Staff, responsible for maintaining the physical and mental well-being of the Pine Crest community
Engage in daily tasks such as health assessments, first aid care, and promoting overall wellness for staff and campers

In this role, you will:
  • Support campers and staff to ensure a positive camp experience through regular check-ins
  • Manage the camp's wellness programs, including maintaining medical supplies and organizing medications
  • Respond to first aid situations promptly and effectively, communicating with necessary parties
  • Provide leadership and training on health and wellness to staff, emphasizing both physical and mental well-being
  • Administer camper medications based on health forms
  • Support the camp's out-tripping program by overseeing first aid kits and assisting counsellors
  • Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks related to wellness programs
  • Build strong relationships with members, staff, and community partners
  • Attend and actively participate in all staff trainings and meetings
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures and guidelines
  • Exemplify YMCA values, guiding principles, and policies as a positive role model
  • Perform any additional assigned duties
What you need to succeed:

  • Focus on promoting health, safety, and wellbeing of all individuals in YMCA programs
  • Display essential YMCA Competencies: Accountability, Relationship Building, Continuous Improvement, Team Leadership, Equity Promotion, Wellbeing Advocacy
You bring:
  • G Class license, minimum age 21 for insurance requirements
  • Current enrollment in postsecondary studies in Nursing, Child and Youth Studies, or Social Work
  • Mental Health First Aid Certification
