is a family-owned company in HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical services that has been serving Regina and Saskatoon for the last 57 years, and we are growing We are currently recruiting an Accounting Manager.

If you have high attention to detail and enjoy repetitive work, this job is for you The Accounting Manager's main purpose will be to assist in the planning, controlling, reporting, and measuring of the information and assets of Welldone Mechanical Services.

The Accounting Manager will produce and analyze financial information critical to business interests as well as create and present reports to management regarding accounting data to enable knowledge-based decision-making and forecasts.

Duties include:

Managing direct reports
Overseeing the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and Payroll functions
Maintain financial security by researching and reconciling discrepancies; auditing and verifying documents; following internal controls; completing data backups.
Coach accounting team members, including review and approval of work assignments and training requirements of the team, including completion of regular performance review.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
Accomplish tasks on time and contribute to the team by taking on special projects as needed.
Responsible for maintaining bank accounts and requests.
Monthly remittance of GST and PST
Monthly reconciliation of accounts
Preparation of Cash Flow reports
Preparation of the annual budget
Completing monthend procedures, monthly financial statements and activity management reports on a timely basis
Interpretation and analysis of financial statements to provide information to facilitate effective decisionmaking.
Establish and improve procedures and policies.
Assist other departments by developing and tracking KPIs.
Work with the Sales and Operations team to develop key objectives and gain efficiency.
Build rapport and productive working relationships with customers, vendors, and other outside agents.
Stay current with all regulations, practices, tax laws, reporting requirements, and industry trends.
A bachelor's degree with a major in accounting
A minimum of 3 years of Senior Level Financial and Cost Accounting experience
The desire to interact, coach and communicate with the Operations/Sales management teams.
CPA designation is considered an asset
An entrepreneurial mindset and drive to be involved in leadership.
A passion for finding and improving existing procedures and utilizing new technologies.
Excellent organizational skills
A strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
A desire for personal development and to take on new challenges.
High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
Certifications or licenses appropriate to the industry.
Excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Quickbooks, and Excel.
High degree of accountability
