We are seeking an
Assistant Manager, Central Operations, so if you're passionate about improving people's financial health and have experience with banking systems and process improvement, we'd like to hear from you.


What's the role?


As an
Assistant Manager, Central Operations you are primarily responsible for supervising functions related to branch operations with regards to loans and clearing administration.

You also assist with developing policy and procedures, for maintaining and strengthening service to the retail and operations service divisions.

In addition to this, you are accountable for the overall leadership, supervision, coaching, and continuous development of team members.


You are also responsible to provide support in all areas and functions within Central Operations, in cooperation with other Assistant Mangers, Central Operations.

As we are a learning organization that supports employees to continuously develop and refine their knowledge and skill set, the primary areas of responsibility within Central Operations for this role may be changed periodically, either on a temporary or long-term basis.


Your duties will include:


  • Ensuring that the loans and clearing administration areas are reviewed on a regular basis and approved changes are implemented accordingly.
  • Providing input to the Manager, Central Operations to ensure that the annual plan, budget and business volume targets are established through central operations.
  • Monitoring activities to promote efficient servicing of branch and operations requirements.
  • Monitoring completion of processing, reconciliation and settlement functions related to operations.
  • Supervise the interpretation of legislative changes to ensure all parties abide by legislation.
  • Provide guidance to branches and departments with operational procedures and to increase efficiencies
  • Ensure diligent adherence to process and procedures within the department.
  • Accountable for the overall leadership, supervision and development of area employees.
  • Provides effective leadership by creating a trusted environment that fosters collaboration and innovation, ensures a respectful, engaging and productive work environment and positive culture.
  • Provides input into the development of a workforce strategy inclusive of performance management, employee engagement, succession planning, and retention of talent.
  • Is aware of the operations and business for all areas.

What are we looking for?

  • Successful completion of a high school diploma.
  • Bachelor's Degree or diploma requiring 34 years of fulltime study or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum six (6) years of progressive financial experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid understanding of service levels, branch operations, products and services.

Ideally, you are a flexible, collaborative team player with:

  • Solid understanding of branch operations, products, and services.
  • Solid understanding of lending products and policies.
  • Solid understanding of loans origination system and lending administration procedures.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to coach and motivate a team of representatives.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
  • Proven experience in providing detailed and accurate information to third parties.
