Communication Manager

Purpose

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Help evolve and execute a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy.
Lead the development and execution of all written communication and presentations for media and internal team members.
Create compelling customer updates and communication.
Coordinate all speaking events and sponsorships for Hut
Initiate new ideas to engage team members and shape a growing and motivated team.
Update the Hut 8 website with news and events.
Distill complex and technical ideas into easytounderstand content.
Manage media monitoring and reporting, and the communication tools the company needs to succeed as one team.
Identify and address opportunities for growth around internal communication efforts.
Foster a collaborative and successful relationship with our agencies.
Identify and build relationships with media and key industry influencers.
Keep an eye on the horizon while working in a rapidly evolving environment.

Education & Experience

3+ years of communication expertise working agencyside or inhouse, ideally in a technology or technologyadjacent industry.
A black belt in writing.
A passion for communicating in the most effective and compelling way possible: whether through a media release, a pitch, a townhall, a tight presentation, or a Slack announcement, you know that what you say is as important as how you say it.
A desire to test and test and learn again.
Experience with WordPress, Meltwater, Hootsuite, MS Office, Mail Chimp, and more.
A degree or diploma in communications, public relations, or a related discipline.
A track record of achieving results.
