We are now hiring for the position of
Custodian.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring offices, hallways, show suites and vacant apartments are kept in a clean and orderly condition
Cleaning of common areas

- empty garbage containers and ashtrays
- service and clean washrooms
- dust and polish furniture
- wash and polish glass
- spot-wash walls
- vacuum carpets
- sweep or damp-mop floors

Sweep, wetmop and scrub floors
Pick up litter outside the building.
Clean and maintain sidewalks, roads, and public grounds of assigned site and other areas, working as a member of the crew; sweep debris and shovel snow from sidewalks, steps, building grounds and other areas; move snow and debris with appropriate equipment; spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow and ice control.

Qualifications:

A custodian is familiar with the safe use of regularly used housekeeping tools and cleaning products
The ability to work on their feet for a complete shift
Experience operating various cleaning equipment
Fitness and the ability to bend, stretch, walk and lift or move things
Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
The ability to communicate well with others.
Ability to follow directions
Ability to work successfully with colleagues and independently
Clean criminal record
CSA steeltoed boots are an asset
CSTS Certification
Forklift or powerjack training is an asset

Work hours:
Weekdays, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (occasional weekend shift rotation)

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
From $19.00 per hour
