- Performing various operations in the fabrication of pressure piping and vessel systems for gas networks, including interpreting engineering drawings, fitting components, welding, and pressure testing assemblies.
- Conducting pipe welding tasks in the field, installation and maintenance of mains and services, as well as handling emergency incidents involving gas escapes.
- Operating equipment such as high-pressure tapping devices and carrying out routine maintenance duties in designated areas.
- Directing crew activities, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Hold B welding qualifications and registered with the Boiler and Pressure Vessels Branch of British Columbia.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the gas industry.
- Possess Company oxy-acetylene welding ticket and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and adhere to company standards and policies.
- Mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety in all job functions.
- Must obtain PE Fusion Certificate.
- Role may involve standby duties and overtime as per operational needs.
- Compliance with residency requirements for the role is essential.
