**LIMITED-TERM FACULTY (2 positions - Francophone stream)
The School of Social Work in the Faculty of Education and Health at Laurentian University invites
Assistant Professor. The preferred start date is August 1, 2023.

and essays and contribute to governance of the School and University.

  • Show evidence of scholarly expertise in some of the following areas: social policy, ethics,
Indigenous social work practice, mental health, gerontology, women's issues, direct intervention,
theory and methods of interventions;

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels (campus and/or
online) in French;

  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Clear commitment to pedagogical and academic excellence, promoting a safe, inclusive and
welcoming learning environment, and advancing Laurentian University's bilingual and
tricultural mandates;

  • An ability and willingness to engage in dismantling antiindigenous and antiblack racism and
other oppressive practices that lead to social and health inequities.
In addition to active engagement and participation in teaching, the incumbent will be expected to make
contributions through service to the School, Faculty, University, and broader community.

Laurentian University, located on Atikameksheng Anishnawbek territory in Sudbury, Ontario, serves
over 8000 students and is one of two bilingual universities in the province of Ontario. Committed to its
bilingual, tricultural mandate, Laurentian University offers an outstanding university experience in
