About the role
We're looking for a
Claims Representative II to join our growing team

What you'll do here:

Analyze and interpret insurance policy wording to determine coverage and evaluate entitlements that are fair and equitable.
Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with customers, claimants, lawyers and insurers to settle claims and report findings and settlements.
Conduct investigations and identify additional information such as medical examinations, customer medical or employment history as required to clarify and/or justify a claim.
Ensure all cases are clearly documented and meet our legislative requirements.
Identify process improvement needs and recommend changes to policies or procedures to improve quality service and competitiveness.

What you bring to the table:

3+ years of customer service experience, including experience in insurance or handling of medical benefits.
A college diploma or a university degree is an asset.
Preferred working toward the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
Have a strong ability to multitask and thrive in a fastpaced environment.
Demonstrate strong negotiation, critical thinking, and decisionmaking skills.
A critical thinker when it comes to approaching complex problems in timesensitive situations and with mínimal supervision.
Are a skilled communicator, which allows you to foster favorable business relationships.
Have a keen ability to listen to others with the goal of gathering information, allowing you to efficiently evaluate a situation.
Go above and beyond for your customers and colleagues because you genuinely want to make a difference.
