Applications are invited from qualified individuals to fill the following position:

One (1) Permanent Full Time System Technician - (ITS) Information Technology Services

Location:
Kirkwood/Wordplay Campus (Sudbury)





SALARY:
FROM $30.39 TO $37.99 HOURLY BASED ON EXPERIENCE

We are presently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Information Technology Services (ITS)

team. Reporting to the Supervisor of Client Services, the Systems Technician plays a crucial role in

providing technical support and assistance to users within the organization. They serves as the frontline

support for ITS related issues, ensuring that users can effectively utilize technology to perform their tasks

efficiently.


Responsibilities:

Provide customer service related activities including monitoring, escalation, and ongoing

communication with the requesting users or units;

Manage or fulfil standard requests, problems and incident resolutions on the service desk;

Keep detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps for future

reference.

Communicate with, and dispatch other ITS members as needed to restore services or fulfil new

requests quickly and efficiently;

needed by users or departments.

In addition to service desk responsibilities, the incumbent will also be involved in providing on

location field services for NBRHC sites located in Sudbury.

Provide after-hours, on-call support (including weekends) on a rotational basis with other ITS

team members;

Graduate of a 2 year recognized Community College Program with exposure to computer
hardware and systems or equivalent required 

including experience with Windows 10 and Active Directory 

CompTIA A+ (or equivalent) and ITIL Foundation certification would be an asset 
Experience and practice in hardware troubleshooting and simple repair required 

Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills required 

Experience in a hospital computing environment an asset 
Good attendance and work record required 

Valid driver's license required 

Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients,
volunteers, and visitors 

Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this
organization 

Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset

Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check recent within six (6) months is a

requirement

providing acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district

referral centre providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it's the specialized
