Description

Parts for Trucks has been an industry leader providing parts and service to the heavy-duty trucking industry for over 100 years. Operating 30 sales / warehouse outlets and 15 service facilities from coast to coast, Parts for Trucks offers a complete range of products and services for all makes of trucks and trailers. We are currently seeking a
Procurement Specialist to join our team. This will be a
full-time, temporary position.

Details:

Maintain optimal inventory levels by processing regular stock orders.
Accurately enter and maintain purchase orders, confirmations, and open orders.
Maintain accurate vendor price lists and parts number data.
Provide product information in response to sales branch requests, or sales promotions.
Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and department leads.
Review daily, weekly, and monthly inventory management reports.
Analyze and adjust system settings to reduce stockouts.
Ensure timely resolution of supply chain issues and shipment discrepancies.
Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers in conjunction with the internal accounting department.
Work with internal departments to resolve any onhand/ERP stock inconsistencies.

Requirements:

Postsecondary training in Business Administration, Purchasing or comparable area.
Minimum 24 years related experience.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools and strong technical ability in Microsoft Office.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of heavyduty trucks or automotive parts, or experience in a comparable industry an asset.
