Procurement Specialist - Dartmouth, Canada - Parts for Trucks

Operating 30 sales / warehouse outlets and 15 service facilities from coast to coast, Parts for Trucks offers a complete range of products and services for all makes of trucks and trailers. We are currently seeking a
Procurement Specialist to join our team. This will be a
full-time, temporary position.
Details:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels by processing regular stock orders.
- Accurately enter and maintain purchase orders, confirmations, and open orders.
- Maintain accurate vendor price lists and parts number data.
- Provide product information in response to sales branch requests, or sales promotions.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and department leads.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly inventory management reports.
- Analyze and adjust system settings to reduce stockouts.
- Ensure timely resolution of supply chain issues and shipment discrepancies.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers in conjunction with the internal accounting department.
- Work with internal departments to resolve any onhand/ERP stock inconsistencies.
Requirements:
- Postsecondary training in Business Administration, Purchasing or comparable area.
- Minimum 24 years related experience.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools and strong technical ability in Microsoft Office.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of heavyduty trucks or automotive parts, or experience in a comparable industry an asset.
