What we're looking for


As RCGT's IT Risk and Assurance Leader, you will have experience leading a team(s) in manage the project team during the planning, implementation, and reporting phases of IT audit work.

You will also lead and participate in cyber security, agile, systems under development, and general IT control audits.

You'll be involved in all phases of the IT audits as well identify key IM/IT risks, strategic recommendations and best practices.

Additionally, you will also have experience in one or more of the areas below:


  • IT Audit
  • IT Risk Management
  • IT Security Audit
  • Cyber Security Audit
  • Systems Under development audit

A day in the life
In this role, you can expect a diversified day including:

  • Ensure that resources are made available and that the projects are developed and fully implemented within agreed time, cost, and performance parameters of the contract.
  • Responsible for determining budgetary requirements, the composition, roles and responsibilities and deadlines for the project team. Define and document the objectives and scope for the project.
  • Identify problems impeding successful completion of the project and proposes, develops, and implements significantly new or modified audit approaches to solve them.
  • Report progress of the project to the project authority on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle.
  • Meet with our clients to outline audit objectives and approaches, to gather key perspectives, and to present observations and recommendations. Prepare plans, chart, tables and diagrams to assist in presenting or displaying observations and recommendations
  • Conduct IT related audit and risk management projects, preparing reports, presenting audit findings to management and negotiating action plans to appropriately mitigate risk.
These projects will identify business and information technology risks and includes the following type of reviews:


  • IT General Controls, Application, Infrastructure reviews
  • IT Risk assessments
  • Information Security & IT Compliance audits
  • Contribute to business development processes including research and analysis, writing and developing proposals as well as working with the engagement lead to develop tailored project plans and work programs
  • Prepares clear and succinct reports, including constructive and practical recommendations
  • Presents positions, findings and recommendations in verbal and written format
  • Monitors and reports on actions undertaken to address audit concerns identified
  • Undertakes special projects and supports corporate initiatives and serves on various committees as required
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with staff at all organizational levels, including senior managers
  • Operates with unrestricted access to records, property and personnel in carrying out assigned audit work; and safeguards the confidentiality of privileged information obtained from these sources
  • Pursues professional development through continuing education and training, literature reviews, and participation in professional associations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to the table

  • 8+ years or more experience in IT risk and assurance
  • Experience managing a professional team, small or large
  • CISA, CISM or CISSP designation
  • Currently possess or have the ability to obtain a reliability clearance and eventually secret clearance
  • Ability to not only to work as part of a team, but to own part of the team and bring your own personality, humor and cheer to all team activities
