Join our team as Surfacing Operator

Evening shift

The working hours are 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM from Monday to Friday (Evening Shift) and you will be working at our Toronto Lab.

Your mission
You will operate surfacing equipment and follow all procedures established within the department.

Your main challenges

Daily cleaning of equipment and workstation;
Calibration of all machines as needed and ensure that machines are all operational;
Maintain a safe environment;
Remove the lenses from packaging, compare the packaging to the fabrication order.
Block lenses, manually associate jobs and load generator;
Polish lenses;
Prepare lenses for quality control check (deblock, wash, dry, and inspect for scratches);
Act as a backup for all positions within digital surfacing;
Organize the flow of production in order to achieve the daily operation targets;
Followup on rush jobs and take the necessary measures to make sure that these jobs are

meetings the turn-around-time

Make an inventory of consumables when requested and communicate the need to order material to

the supervisor;

Other related job duties as assigned by Supervisor;

Your profile

High school diploma;
Minimum three (3) months experience in a similar position;
Highly flexible;
English spoken.
Being knowledgeable and having performed all the tasks in the DS Department;
Manual dexterity;
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment;
Must be detail and precision oriented;
Ability to perform various tasks simultaneously;
