Assembler - Mississauga, Canada - Halton Indoor Climate Systems
Description
JOB DUTIES
- Read blueprints / drawings.
- Use of tools (i.e. saw, air gun drill, drill press, measuring tools, etc. in manufacturing settings).
- Ability to work shifts and overtime when requested.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner and practice safe work habits.
- Must be willing and flexible to rotate to various tasks as required.
- Assembling components such as blowers, motors, panels, insulation, electrical boxes, filters screws, knobs, door panels, lights, electrical components, etc.
- Position and align components for assembly, manually or using hoists.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Basic wiring knowledge.
- Knowledge of sheet metal assembly.
- Knowledge of motor and drive assemblies is an asset.
- Quality awareness combined with speed.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and to exercise independent judgment.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Able to work with minimum supervision in a fastpaced environment.
- Reliable, responsible, flexible and organized.
- Initiative in taking corrective actions.
- Physically fit and able to lift light to moderate weight.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Must be an excellent team player.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Ansul certification an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing plant required.
Salary:
From $20.78 per hour
