ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

***The PeopleSoft System Administrator collaborates with FNHA Applications, Database administrator and Core Technology teams to provide an advanced level of specialized expertise in monitoring the performance and maintaining the PeopleSoft 9.2 environments. The Administrator supports in creating Service Level Agreements,

Standard Operating Procedures. Overall, this role ensures and maintains effective PeopleSoft database environments


ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintain effective relations with FNHA Applications, Database administrator and Core Technology teams to ensure effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of PeopleSoft 9.2 environments and related infrastructure
  • Develop and implement PSOFT processes, guidelines, and documentation and security measures keeping in mind standard industry practices / best practices. Ensure PeopleSoft system performance by performing system monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting system hardware, software, operating and system management systems
  • Designs and runs system load/stress testing
  • Participate in system and performance testing
  • Collaborate with Database administrator and Core Technology to manage systems for high availability and system performance
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for installation and configuration of PeopleSoft system
  • Finalize technical Service Level Agreements after obtaining inputs and signoff from all critical stakeholders within IIMS and across FNHA.
  • Review and document current state of PeopleSoft technical architecture
  • Contribute to procurement documents (RFX), and contracts
  • Contribute to Privacy and Security reviews and assessments
  • Leverage business and technical knowledge to make recommendations, influence business partners and management
  • Provide expertise to the Core Technology team for technical capacity resource planning, resource allocation and resource management

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Occupational Certification

  • ITIL Foundation Version 3.0 Certification
  • Oracle WebLogic Server Certification is preferred
  • CompTIA Server+ is preferred
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer (MCSE) is preferred

Experience

  • 57 years of practical experience working as a PeopleSoft System Administrator
  • Minimum of five (5) years of BC / Canadian healthcare project experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years technical experience with relational databases and data modelling
  • Excellent communication skills and command of the English language
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Advanced problem solving skills

Knowledge

  • Specific knowledge of PeopleTools preferably version 8.53 or 8.5
  • Solid working knowledge of PeopleSoft Security
  • Solid working knowledge of MS SQL Server 201
  • Knowledge of ETL protocols
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodology
  • Knowledge of the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Knowledge of First Nations healthcare and/or culture is an asset

  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

From $80,000.00 per year
