We are growing again - in Kingston - Ontario We are looking for our next Site Supervisor on our complex commercial team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for coordinating activities, resources, equipment, and information, ensuring that our construction staff and projects run efficiently and effectively.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SITE SUPERVISOR
The Site Supervisor at First Onsite reviews, schedules, and oversees all in-house work from Project Managers, ensuring high-quality and efficient project execution.
Responsibilities include maintaining First Onsite's quality standards, producing comprehensive materials lists for repairs, providing immediate direction to onsite crews, and meeting scheduled completion timetables.
The role involves updating all parties on work progress, leading and deploying quality teams to achieve corporate objectives, and ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.
The Site Supervisor also maintains detailed project schedules, monitors staff efficiency, inspects work quality, and reports outcomes to the Construction Operations Manager.
Ready to kickstart your career as a Site Supervisor? Here's what we're looking for:- 2-3 years of experience as a foreman or a site supervisor in the Canadian restoration/emergency or construction industry.
- Understanding of reconstruction practices for properties damaged by water, wind, mold, fire, and vandalism.
- Knowledge of Canadian construction processes. i.e. Experience with building codes, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related regulations.
- Experience managing teams of up to 2
- Experience with project scheduling and time management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- French is an asset.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Xactimate.
- Basic understanding of invoicing, billing, and general math skills.
- Commitment to customer service excellence.
- Ready for physical activities like material handling, lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces).
