SUMMARY - _Cash Applications Supervisor_**
_ Shift:_ Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm


Reporting to Accounts Receivable & Cash Applications Director, the
Cash Applications Supervisor is responsible to implement the processing of electronic and manual remittance transactions, posting complex payment and contractual adjustments to client accounts, reconciling cash transactions, bank statements, third party remittances, e-transfers and credit card payments.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of Cash Applications team members, ensuring that the team is adhering to corporate and department policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate and execute the timely and accurate posting of daily cash receipts for revenue for all areas of TransX, including TransX USA
  • Maintain Cash master files and cross references.
  • Identify ways to implement process improvements related to Cash Application tasks.
  • Contact remitters for missing payment details, or accounts receivable team
  • Review and prepare monthly payment reconciliations
  • Participate in system testing and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare periodic metrics for management.
  • Backup for members on the team
  • Work on special projects as requested by management.
  • Interface with multiple groups and individuals, both internal and external

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

_ Education_

  • Grade 1
  • Required
  • Certified Credit Professional Program and/or other accounting programs
  • Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or accounting
  • Preferred

_ Experience_

  • Experience in trucking and transportation or related field
  • Preferred
  • Experience with Credit review/processing
  • Preferred
  • Knowledge of Great Plains and TMW
  • Preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Action oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
  • Intermediate or higher skill using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and banking procedures
  • Strong math, accounting and computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Proficient with data entry using a 10 key numeric keypad
  • Motivated and conscientious team player capable of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
