Position Overview
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Business Development Representative (Urban Beekeeping Advisor) is responsible for expanding Alvéole's client base.

Their goal is to build client pipelines for the sales team by identifying, outreach to, and connecting with potential clients; asking questions to assess high-level fit; and booking discovery meetings with qualified prospects.

They need to master Alvéole's service and value proposition in order to communicate the potential benefits in a delivery customized to each client's reality.

This is a full-time, permanent position in accordance with Alvéole's current policies.


Roles and responsibilities

  • Connect with prospective clients to identify their needs and challenges
  • Determine the prospect's fit with and interest in naturebased solutions, including onsite turnkey beekeeping, native bee pollinator habitats, sustainabilityrelated data collection and reporting, and onsite turnkey pollinator gardens
  • Identify qualified prospects and schedule discovery meetings with Account Executive colleagues; observe and take notes in order to highlight opportunities and next steps
  • Independently manage and maintain a minimum volume of outreach activities per week, prioritizing qualified sales opportunities, in order to achieve or surpass individual weekly/monthly/quarterly targets; earn benefits such as monthly overachievement bonuses and salary increases associated with performancebased milestone achievements
  • Keep up to date on industry trends and partner with colleagues in sales, operations, growth, and other departments to generate growth opportunities and evolve sales strategies

Required skills

  • Excellent phone, writing, and listening skills
  • Selfstarter who has a desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role
  • At least one year of professional experience in a sales or clientfacing role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience or training

Assets:

  • Experience reaching or exceeding weekly/monthly targets, and/or with Hubspot CRM
  • Familiarity with the real estate industry, sustainability topics, and/or urban beekeeping
