Who are we?
WAAS Aerospace Inc. has been in operation since 2014 and is a Transport Canada approved maintenance company.

We operate from facilities located on the south shore of Montreal at Saint-Hubert Airport (CYHU) and in Quebec City at Jean-Lesage International Airport (CYQB).

We provide line and scheduled maintenance, avionics modifications and research and development services for business and wide-body aircraft. We offer 24/7 Aircraft on Ground (AOG) services to help customers meet their on-time departure obligations and minimise downtime.

Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In its early days, the company operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Today, the Chrono Aviation group has a fleet of 15 aircraft and a team of 280 employees.


Role and context
The aircraft maintenance planner plays a crucial role in the aircraft maintenance team.

They are responsible for the effective planning and coordination of all aircraft maintenance activities to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.


Key responsibilities

  • Accurately plan all aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved internal/external maintenance programmes, company policies, procedures and contractual agreements.
  • Prepare all aircraft maintenance documentation as required.
  • Programming and revising work schedules, if necessary, in accordance with the procedures in force
  • Manage the workload in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Ensuring that documentation is delivered to production on time
  • Assisting with regular checks of airworthiness directives and service bulletins, as required

Key skills

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Be efficient and able to multitask in a demanding work environment

Specific job requirements

  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in maintenance planning would be an asset.
  • At least 3 years' relevant experience working with the recordkeeping system would be an asset.
  • Good understanding of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
  • Good understanding of the Manufacturer's Maintenance Programmes and ability to prepare and update aircraft schedules
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
