    CGI Edmonton is seeking a skilled Senior Java Developer to join their team and contribute to providing top-notch IT services to clients in Edmonton.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    • Work collaboratively to provide technical expertise and guidance on software development for enterprise-scale projects.
    • Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver high-quality software solutions.
    • Apply various project life cycles and frameworks to develop secure, on-time software solutions.
    • Design, code, test, and implement software applications.
    • Adhere to policies and procedures for effective service management.
    • Assist in diagnosing and preventing service outages and issues.

    Required qualifications:

    • 6+ years of Java software development experience.
    • Experience in delivering projects involving Java technologies.

    Attributes:

    • Self-motivated and capable of independent work.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Education:

    • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
    • Certifications in IT and software development are a plus.

    Skills:

    • Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, JSF, and web development technologies.
    • Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, OAuth2/OIDC, and GitHub Actions.

    Additional desired skills:

    • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps.
