Position Description Summary
The Accounts Payable Clerk ensures that supplier invoices are audited and all accounts payables are processed. He/she ensures the elimination of errors and processing delays by working closely with both staff and management. This position must also be committed to exceeding client expectations while respecting company policies.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Enters payables information into DB tool.
  • Audits invoices from suppliers.
  • Coordinates the claims process with customers, insurance company, service partners and freight coordinators.
  • Performs general ledger audit and adjustments.
  • Makes freight allocations for select customers.
  • Orders office supplies.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Freight forwarding operational experience; CIFFA course preferred
  • Experience in sales or customer interface
  • Education, including accounting courses (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Team player
  • Good planning and organizational skills; plans work and measures performance
