What You'll be Doing


Develops the C-IL brand under the umbrella of the Sheridan brand and is the central point of contact for all C-IL marketing initiatives.


Investigates and recommends new and innovative communications opportunities and marketing solutions to position Sheridan students as top talent for employer partners.

Regularly meets with CPAM's social media team to discuss and implement enhancements for C-IL social channels.

Collaborates with CPAM's digital experience team to discuss and implement enhancements to the C-IL webpages.


Develops creative content for internal and external communications and marketing collateral in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.

Develops marketing/communication materials (i.e. design direction, copywriting/editing, proofing and approval) in collaboration with identified stakeholders and Marketing and Brand Strategy.


Curates and oversees content on an ongoing basis for the C-IL website, ensuring content is aligned with the brand, reflects C-IL's mandate (explore, experience, connect), is relevant, current and consistent with brand standards and overall brand positioning.

Creates relevant social media content to reach current students, graduates and employer partners. Regularly updates social media templates for staff usage.


Responsible for maintaining and updating the C-IL website content by implementing and/or overseeing critical content changes and updates to ensure a consistent and seamless user experience.


Reviews C-IL website on a regular basis to identify content issues related to quality assurance, accessibility and SEO (search engine optimization).


Coordinates obtaining student success stories and employer testimonials for social media channels and webpages; obtaining permissions and confirmation of content to be shared.

Provides technical assistance and support for C-IL events including info sessions, career fairs, awards etc. utilizing WebEx, Hopin or other related event platforms.

Liaise with internal stakeholders to develop event plans, create communications, set up hosting accounts, etc.


Provides general event support to the Employment Development Specialist (virtually or in-person); Ensures and/or delivers widespread promotion and communication of events through appropriate creative, and promotional channels.


For employer information sessions:
tracks RSVPs and attendance, and coordinates special arrangements or equipment request/support as needed.

Trains any event volunteers as needed.

Supports team with employer/industry outreach and marketing Sheridan students. Surveys employers on our social media outreach and better ways to advertise students.


Operates as part of a team, covering responsibilities and providing backup support when required and any other duties as required.

About You

You have excellent oral and written communication skills.


You enjoy balancing many different tasks and can prioritize multiple projects while staying organized and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

You enjoy working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

You bring excellent marketing, communications, planning and project management skills with an understanding of marketing and brand strategy.

3-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.


A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in developing and implementing a marketing and communications strategy within career education and/or talent acquisition (experience in a college or university environment is preferred).

At least one year experience in developing and executing social media strategies, understanding social media platforms, principles and best practices, and maintaining social media presence (equivalences to be considered).

Computer literacy in MS office programs and online event platforms such as MS teams and Webex is required.

Demonstrated experience using Adobe suite and Canva to create marketing assets is required.

Hootsuite is considered an asset.
