Overnight Shift 11-7

You are required to carry out the following but may be asked to perform additional duties and or responsibilities:

Assists and attends to any residents' scheduled support as required such as reminding, cueing, escorting, set-up for activities of daily living, and personal support as/if required overnight.
Perform regular night checks on residents and safety checks throughout the building.
Perform administrative duties within the nursing department/office.
Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks throughout the night.
Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner;
Performs other related duties as required.
Participate in a rotating oncall schedule and carry out additional responsibilities
Previous work experience as a healthcare aide or personal support worker is an asset.
Successful completion of secondary school or equivalent;
Ability to read and communicate effectively;
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, transfer residents, carry out an emergency plan;
Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors;
Effective interpersonal relationship and conflict resolution skills;
Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints;
Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness;
Must be able to operate related equipment.
Must provide a police check including vulnerable persons screening, current CPR, TB screening.
