Job Overview

Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, The Maintenance Aide is responsible for performing general maintenance to ensure a safe, comfortable, attractive and homelike environment for residents, visitors, volunteers and staff.

Responsibilities:

Perform full suite refurbishes including drywall repairs, painting, flooring, tiling, grouting and other renovation work to ensure a home like environment
Perform equipment maintenance
Collaborate with contractors, as required
Grounds maintenance including snow removal and parking garage maintenance
Perform garbage removal
Assist with semiannual suite maintenance
Monitor water temperatures and fire system compliance
Carry 24hr Emergency Call Pager when requested
Renovation experience is required
Must be experienced in the safe operation of maintenance equipment and power tools
Must have ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Ability to recognize when a problem requires professional services
High School Diploma or equivalent
Vulnerable Sector Search Criminal Record check
Must maintain an up to date immunization record including COVID19 vaccination series, annual influenza and TB screening
