Job Overview


Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, The Maintenance Aide is responsible for performing general maintenance to ensure a safe, comfortable, attractive and homelike environment for residents, visitors, volunteers and staff.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform full suite refurbishes including drywall repairs, painting, flooring, tiling, grouting and other renovation work to ensure a home like environment
  • Perform equipment maintenance
  • Collaborate with contractors, as required
  • Grounds maintenance including snow removal and parking garage maintenance
  • Perform garbage removal
  • Assist with semiannual suite maintenance
  • Monitor water temperatures and fire system compliance
  • Carry 24hr Emergency Call Pager when requested
  • Renovation experience is required
  • Must be experienced in the safe operation of maintenance equipment and power tools
  • Must have ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to recognize when a problem requires professional services
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Vulnerable Sector Search Criminal Record check
  • Must maintain an up to date immunization record including COVID19 vaccination series, annual influenza and TB screening
