Who You'll Work With
Reporting to the Director, Quality Assurance, the role will work closely with operations and other areas of the business. The Reports Coordinator is responsible for performing a detailed report review in a two-stage QA process.
What you'll be doing
- Prioritize QA by report due date or as otherwise instructed/indicated
- Review file documentation and first stage QA comments/suggestions to propose inclusion of applicable information within report
- Correspond with Intake and Documentation teams as required to clarify issues such as provided questions, issue in dispute, documentation required, etc.
- Provide review from a QA perspective regarding consistency between information in report and documentation on file
- Provide review from a QA perspective with respect to anatomical terms, grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.
- Provide QA review with regards to consistency between assessors' previous reports and reports within a multidisciplinary examination/determination
- Provide QA review to ensure questions posed are adequately addressed and within the assessor's scope of practice
- Ensure any special instructions requested by the referral source have been implemented
- Address flagged changes/discrepancies/queries/revisions from first stage QA
- Communicate with referral source as required/indicated regarding late reports, documentation required, etc.
- Perform necessary clarification/literature review to ensure that information within report and assessors' opinions are clinically supported
- Provide assessors with information as required (example: information pertaining to disability test; definitions within the SABS, etc.)
- Facilitate completion of finalized report by sending report to assessor with proposed QA, answering questions posed by assessor, communicating with assessor as required, and implementing any requested revisions
- Facilitate communication between assessors to address any conflicts of opinion, if required
- Followup with assessors regarding reports sent for QA if not received within 24 hours or as otherwise indicated
- Document communications with assessors and referral sources, including feedback and directives regarding QA process and approval to release report
- Liaise with intake coordinators and documentation teams as required to confirm status of reports and to address questions/issues posed by assessor, QA team, referral source, etc.
- Submit final report(s) to customer according to specific customer protocol
- Participate in team/staff meetings as required
- Answer phone calls/enquiries regarding reports as required (assessors, referral source)
- Perform other duties as required
What You Need to Be Successful
- Knowledge of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS), court, and LAT decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Adobe Acrobat Programs
- Software platforms
- Secure Docs, Outlook, etc.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
