Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

Read and Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. Build concrete forms, scaffolding, bridges, trestles, tunnels, shelters, towers, and other structures - Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes and in using measuring tools
Perform carpentry tasks such as roof installation, flooring installation, cabinet installation, and electrical work
Utilize power tools and other equipment to complete assigned tasks
Measure and cut materials according to specifications
Install fixtures, doors, windows, and hardware
Repair or replace damaged framework or other structures Maintain, repair and renovate commercial buildings and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, schools, parades, institutional buildings and other establishments
Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols


Qualifications:

  • Journeyman/Journeywoman Carpenter certification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in carpentry and construction projects
  • Proficient in using power tools and other carpentry equipment
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Note:
This is a paid position.


Pay:
$28.00-$42.00 per hour

  • Secondary School (preferred)

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
