Central City Brewers and Distillers is a craft brewery in the business of developing and selling international award-winning premium craft beer and high-quality distilled spirits brewed without compromise. Based in Surrey, British Columbia, CCBD was voted Canada Best Brewery of the Year in 2010 and 2012. Its Red Racer brand has become a cult icon among craft beer enthusiasts throughout North America. Founded in 2003 as a brewpub and liquor store in downtown Surrey, CCBD celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2013 with the grand opening of a brand new, 68,000 sq. ft brewery and distillery on Bridgeview Drive. In 2019 we opened a 40,000 sq ft storage facility with approximately 2400 barrels of whiskey ageing in this facility. We are proud of being a local-Canadian Brewery that is currently expanding.


JOB SUMMARY


The
Production Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for managing production, developing brew plans, managing inventory, controlling day-to-day inventory operations, and analyzing internal processes for the company.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the demand planning and production scheduling process. Develop the weekly and longterm brew plan and packaging plan for the assortment of beverages in CCBD's portfolio and contract customers. Optimizes production schedule through knowledge of brewing times, yield, line efficiency, line changeover times, etc.
  • Responsible for managing the optimal inventory levels of all finished goods and workinprogress goods in CCBD's warehouse and the warehouses of all distribution partners, ensuring high inventory turns and low stockouts
  • Overseas copacking/rework operations. Schedules the type/quantity/order/division of work to be performed by the copacking team
  • Working with the sales analytics team adjusting production demand plan to account for market intelligence, seasonality, and other unique events.
  • Works with the sales & marketing team to seamlessly execute the loadin of new product launches, new distribution partners, as well as the transition of existing product from one format to another
  • Acts as the liaison between order fulfillment, warehousing, and shipping & receiving, providing direction on timing requirements and instructions on any new or special orders
  • Working with the warehouse supervisor, jointly responsible for inventory accuracy of finished goods, ensuring that physical counts match up to the WMS and ERP systems. Trace and resolve discrepancies found
  • Acts as the face of finished goods inventory inquiries by internal stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS/DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Min. 3 years directly working in a demand planning role, utilizing SAP/ERP systems
  • Exceptionally organized and efficient able to juggle a variety of projects and functions in a fastpaced 24/7 plant
  • Capable agent of change able to develop, implement, and institutionalize new procedures to move the needle on department KPIs
  • Expert level Excel, and data extraction/manipulation
  • Strong interpersonal/negotiation skills able to present plans while navigating through interdepartmental constraints
  • Postsecondary education in Supply Chain management or Supply Chain designation is an asset
