Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Coordinates and leads workplace health and wellness planning efforts which includes benchmarking and tapping into trends/insights to identify gaps and recommendations.
  • Partners and collaborates with cross functional teams and HR Business Partners to see opportunities for engagement and to support the health and welfare of employees.
  • Manages all aspects of an employeefocused wellness initiatives including designs, employee communication and program administration.
  • Chairs the Employee Wellness Committee
  • Provides quarterly updates and statistical reporting on key wellness metrics.
  • Provides oneline educational presentations and training.
  • Assist with the development of budgets, policies, and procedures relevant to the operation of the wellness program.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness and recommends changes

PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Works closely with the HR teams, business unit leadership and employee groups including union leadership.
  • Works with health benefit providers of wellness services and programs and evaluates the program effectiveness and ROI.
  • Chairs the Employee Wellness Committee

WORKING CONDITIONS:


  • Remote or hybrid remote depending on location.
  • Most of the communications and meetings are conducted virtually. There may be limited travel.
  • Must have a valid passport.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Education

  • Post secondary Education in health education, social sciences or related fields.

Experience

  • 5 years' experience working in wellness program development and administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Abilities

  • Knowledge of wellness approaches, trends, issues and practises in workplace health promotion
  • Highly developed communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to lead focus group discussions and chair meetings.
  • Can work effectively with employees at all levels.
